Here, you can build a rewarding, lifelong career while receiving endless support and encouragement.</p> <p>As a Patient Access Representative, your responsibility is to deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and visitors, from the moment they enter to the time they return home. You will assist them with everything from registration and information gathering to payment collection and insurance verification. This position is in the Admitting and Registration Office, the central point where patients sign in for laboratory services such as blood work, check in for scheduled surgeries and procedures, and receive information regarding billing, insurance coverage, and other administrative matters.</p> <p>This role is a great steppingstone to others within Customer Service and various departments within Cleveland Clinic.</p> <p>A caregiver in this role works day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform registration and obtain information about demographics, insurance, medical and financial.</p> </li><li> <p>Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register.</p> </li><li> <p>Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.</p> </li><li> <p>May rotate to different locations/hospitals based on staffing needs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma OR GED and two years of experience in a customer-facing role with in person or phone contact</p> </li><li> <p>OR an Associate's Degree and one year of experience</p> </li><li> <p>OR a Bachelor's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology OR completion of course within year of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Healthcare experience </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.</p> </li><li> <p>In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $15.75</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $21.65</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
