<p>Job Title Office Assistant, PT Department Parking Services Essential Functions</p> <p>This is a part-time administrative position in Parking and Transit Services and is a public-facing primary contact for customer service.</p> <p>This position is responsible for handling financial transactions for permit sales and fee collection for faculty, staff, student, and visitor parking on campus. Tasks associated with this involve customer interaction, phone and email communication, data entry, cash drawer and POS sales, reconciliation, filing, and reports.</p> <p>This position serves as a resource for parking and transit information to the public, to departments, staff, and students within the university system, and to parking field staff. Knowledge bases for accomplishing this task include permit pricing ad lot restrictions, parking regulations, the waiver and appeals processes, website and online forms, alternative and sustainable transportation options, and ADA accommodation.</p> <p>Skills necessary to perform this job include literacy, computer experience, cash handling experience, customer service skills, and conflict resolution skills.</p> <p>Work Schedule 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. Additional Duties Required Qualifications</p> <p>One (1) year general clerical experience.</p> <p>One (1) year cash handling experience.</p> <p>One (1) year customer service experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
