(Based on Experience + Overtime)</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, Every Other Saturday | 2PM to 2AM (55-60 Hours/Week)</p> <p>Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team in Altamonte Springs, FL. If you have experience in the Waste or Recycling industry, that's a huge plus-but not required. We offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a $5,000 Stay-On Bonus to show our commitment to your success.</p> <p>The Job:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience (Waste Industry preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of DPF Regeneration Systems (especially CUMMINS and MACK)</p> </li><li> <p>Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!</p> </li><li> <p>Must have your own tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working 2nd shift (2PM - 2AM)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage</p> </li></ul> <p>?
