<p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>Works under direction & requires thorough knowledge of human resources functions & civil service laws, rules, policies & procedures in order to serve as the human resources coordinator for the Workforce Hiring Unit: Reviews & verifies electronic personnel actions (ePAR's) & attachments for compliance with the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Directives, DRC policies & procedures, bargaining unit contracts, & civil service laws then approves or disapproves accordingly</p> <ul> <li> <p>· Updates the agency position roster future action form (FAF) with employee &/or position movements</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates agency-wide personnel functions in hiring process to include agency vacancy postings, electronic case merit selection files, background investigations, pre-employment drug screening & ePAR processing</p> </li><li> <p>Manages & monitors regional selections process activities for compliance with state & federal rules, regulations, policies, procedures, bargaining unit contracts & Department of Administrative Services (DAS) directives</p> </li><li> <p>Creates, updates & maintains Qualifications, Experience & Selection (QEE) selection devices on all OCSEA pay range 28/08 & above positions unless otherwise noted</p> </li><li> <p>Works with supervisor to create QEE selection tools for non-OCSEA positions</p> </li><li> <p>Creates, updates & maintains boilerplate postings & ensures those being used on vacancy postings</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates Taleo in managing the program for all E-1 vacancies</p> </li><li> <p>Directly supervises assigned staff: assigns, reviews & approves work for content & accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to questions & concerns & resolves problems</p> </li><li> <p>Disseminates & interprets policy & procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Prioritizes & approves schedules & itineraries</p> </li><li> <p>Approves requests for leave, overtime, compensatory time, attendance records & travel expenses</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies training needs & conducts or arranges for training opportunities (e.g., on-the job & in-service)</p> </li><li> <p>Writes employee goals & completes & conducts timely performance evaluation reviews</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes &/or oversees office recordkeeping & other support activities</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with the Correction Officer Assessment process; trains & advises regional & local personnel staff on selection processes</p> </li><li> <p>Creates & updates training documents in assigned areas</p> </li><li> <p>Researches & responds to sensitive, complex & routine inquiries & complaints from employees, applicants, managers, & general public</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees & conducts background investigations, as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Attends trainings & conferences</p> </li><li> <p>Assists &/or conducts interviews</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts self professionally, & in a law-abiding manner, at all times & in accordance with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction Standards of Employee Conduct</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>3 yrs. exp. in human resources.</p> <ul> <li>Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 12 mos. exp. in human resources. </li><li>Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612. </li><li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. </li></ul> <p>Job Skills: Human Resources, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Time Management</p>
