<p>Job Overview</p> <p>As a growing company with multiple locations, We are looking for a talented Assistant Warehouse Manager to support and help lead our warehouse operations. In this role, you will assist in managing all receiving, shipping, and distribution activities while supervising staff, maintaining a safe work environment, and driving continuous improvement. Some of your duties may include:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise warehouse employees and enforce company policies and legal regulations. </li><li>Completes warehouse operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results. </li><li>Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations. </li><li>Responsible for food safety, quality, and legality of food products </li><li>Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace. </li><li>Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Things you need to be able to do:</p> <ul> <li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines and be able to work under minimal supervision. </li><li>Computer Skills: Please check off all necessary skills from the following. Order Processing Systems, Payroll Systems, Human Resource Systems, Spreadsheet Software. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Carry up to 50 lbs. Push/Pull up to 30 lbs. of force. </li><li>Ascend and descend a step with a height of 10 in. From the floor. </li><li>Must be able to be exposed to a refrigerated and freezer environment, ranging from 0 - 36 degrees Fahrenheit. </li><li>Able to stand for long periods of time. </li><li>Able to reach bend. </li></ul> <p>Things that are a plus:</p> <ul> <li>1 to 3 years of management experience in a warehouse environment. </li><li>5+ years of total warehouse experience. </li><li>Certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of shift operations. </li></ul> <p>What we think you'll love about Gourmet Foods International:</p> <ul> <li>Keep moving.
