You'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Preconstruction Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with estimating and bid coordination </li><li>Participate in design and preconstruction meetings </li><li>Help manage subcontractor prequalification and bid analysis </li><li>Support development of project schedules and documentation </li></ul> <p>Budget & Cost Management</p> <ul> <li>Monitor project budgets and job cost reports </li><li>Assist with subcontractor negotiations and purchase orders </li><li>Track financial risks and support cost control efforts </li></ul> <p>Construction Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Support permitting and municipality communications </li><li>Help manage project schedules and subcontractor timelines </li><li>Conduct site visits and assist with issue resolution </li><li>Review plans, shop drawings, and RFIs for accuracy </li></ul> <p>Project Turnover & Closeout</p> <ul> <li>Assist in managing punch list completion and warranty coordination </li><li>Support project closeout documentation and lessons learned </li></ul> <p>Post-Construction</p> <ul> <li>Provide warranty support and contribute to process improvement </li><li>Share feedback to enhance internal best practices </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field </li><li>3-5 years of experience in construction project coordination or management </li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam, and construction management software </li></ul> <p>Ready to Build Your Future with Us?</p> <p>At Horizon, we build more than structures-we build careers. Join a collaborative team that values innovation, integrity, and growth.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related four-year program (preferred). </li><li>Experience in construction project engineering or similar roles (preferred). </li><li>Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, ADA Title III, contract law, project controls, and building support systems. </li><li>Familiarity with construction safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards (helpful). </li><li>Demonstrated ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service. </li><li>Previous leadership experience. </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and computer literacy. </li><li>Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines, with or without direct supervision. </li><li>Professional interaction with employees, customers, and suppliers. </li><li>Effective teamwork and independent work skills, with clear communication and coordination. </li><li>Strong organizational abilities. </li><li>Competence in reading and interpreting documents and writing clear documentation and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts. </li><li>Capability to follow detailed oral or written instructions. </li></ul> <p>Other Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite). </li><li>Willingness to work both in-office and on project sites, including travel and overnight stays as needed. </li><li>Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and extended hours (average 50-60 hours per week). </li><li>Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment</p> <p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here represent those required to perform the essential functions of this job.
