<p>The Cypress of Charlotte is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the SouthPark area in Charlotte, NC. We currently have a vacancy for a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to work part-time (16-20 hours per week) in our Memory Day Program assisting residents with activities and personal care to work the following schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Tuesdays ad Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. required </li><li>Ability to pick up other home care shifts as needed </li></ul> <p>This person will be responsible for promoting creative and cognitively stimulating activities, providing quality assistance with activities of daily living to enable residents to maintain independent living for as long as appropriate and possible, in addition to the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>To assist with the planning and implementing of the Memory Day Program schedule </li><li>Set up refreshments before the group & clean up after group dismisses - that would include making sure there were enough cups, utensils, etc. </li><li>Working with dining for the ordering of lunches for the week - being responsible for picking up lunches </li><li>Be aware of members needs - and ready to engage and encourage if a member is not able or uninterested in a planned activity </li><li>Assist a member from their home and back if needed </li><li>Assist with transportation, transfers or ambulation as resident's condition warrants. </li><li>Provide reminders to take medication. </li><li>Facilitate exercise programs and encourage resident to participate in campus activities. </li><li>Offer companionship for off campus excursions/appointments/shopping. </li><li>Provide ambulation/wheelchair assistance for on campus events. </li><li>Assist with ADL's, dressing/bathing, meal preparation and household tasks including light laundry, dishes and bed making.
