Within the department, the Contact Center Team Leader provides leadership and direction to internal teams who support customer resources. The ideal candidate must have strong customer service, supervisory, and decision-making skills. They must display professionalism in a fast-paced environment and are considered the subject matter expert for all payroll research and problem resolution.</p> <p>In Publix's corporate offices, we value in-person interactions, similar to those our store associates have with customers. This position is an in-person role located at our corporate headquarters in Lakeland, FL.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <ul> <li>provide direction to the payroll contact center </li><li>analyze and recommend strategies for contact center metrics </li><li>maintain knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and system enhancements </li><li>assist other supervisors with development, training, and coaching; as well as other special projects and duties </li><li>handle payroll for the associates in the department </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Your application may have additional steps that you will need to complete in order to remain eligible for consideration. Once your application has been successfully submitted you will receive a confirmation email.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in a business related field or equivalent experience </li><li>at least two years of experience in an analytical position </li><li>knowledge of corporate strategy map </li><li>knowledge of payroll and payroll related policies including Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>knowledge of professional communication style </li><li>knowledge of operations/infrastructure </li><li>knowledge of CQI (continuous quality improvement) methodology and tactics to include WIN (work improvement now) and QIP (quality improvement project) </li><li>ability to react quickly and in a calm, professional manner when in situations affecting one or more associates' pay </li><li>analytical skills </li><li>customer service skills </li><li>knowledge of supervisory leadership skills </li><li>ability to display professionalism </li><li>strong decision-making skills </li><li>ability to multi-task and prioritize a large volume of work </li><li>ability to demonstrate a high level of maturity and tact </li><li>interpersonal communication skills </li><li>problem solving skills </li><li>basic skills in time keeping systems including: DART, Kronos, Time Off Request (TOR) system, TPass, MSS </li><li>intermediate skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access) </li><li>intermediate skills in SAP, Oasis, FETCH, PASSport </li><li>willingness to work flexible hours to meet business needs </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting </li><li>four or more years of payroll experience in an analytical position </li><li>supervisory knowledge </li><li>knowledge of Avaya phone system and the reports within the phone system </li><li>knowledge of the different pay classifications and how pay is calculated </li><li>knowledge of Publix Minor Restrictions </li><li>knowledge of individual state and federal Department of Labor (DOL) laws as it pertains to minors and Wage and Hour Division (WHD) requirement for associates' edited time </li><li>knowledge of Power of Attorney </li><li>knowledge of Managers Reference Library (MRL) or similar policy documentation </li><li>intermediate knowledge of time keeping systems including: DART, Krono, Time Off Request (TOR) system, TPass, MSS </li><li>advanced knowledge of SAP, Oasis, FETCH, PASSport </li></ul>
