<p>Summer Associate - Social Services Impact VISTA</p> <p>The Summer Associate Social Services Impact VISTA will serve with The Salvation Army, a nonprofit organization providing emergency assistance and social services to individuals and families experiencing poverty across the DC Metro region. The populations served include low-income households facing housing instability, food insecurity, and limited access to essential resources. This project aligns with VISTA's anti-poverty mission by strengthening organizational systems that improve access to critical services and increase efficiency in serving vulnerable populations. By enhancing data collection, reporting, and online intake systems, the project will reduce barriers to assistance and improve service delivery for individuals in need. The Summer Associate will contribute to building sustainable infrastructure that supports emergency assistance programs, including improvements to reporting systems, online accessibility, and seasonal programs such as Angel Tree. These efforts will increase organizational capacity, improve service coordination across multiple locations, and ensure more individuals and families can access timely and effective support. The member will standardize data collection and reporting across 10 locations, improve online intake and client accessibility, and enhance seasonal program operations. They will streamline Angel Tree online systems across six locations, train staff, and create sustainability manuals.
