<p>Description</p> <p>This position receives, receipts and accounts for various fees and other payments due the City for the summer pool program, and performs related work as assigned. Provides customer service and performs according to set procedures under close supervision.</p> <p>The work is considered sedentary and involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis or routine keyboard operations. The work requires the following physical abilities to perform the essential job functions: fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, talking, and visual acuity.</p> <p>Work environment involves exposure to no known environmental hazards; and is relatively safe, secure and stable.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Receives, receipts and records customer fees and other payments for the summer pool program; </li><li>Assists in establishing new customer accounts and assist in maintaining customer records; </li><li>Counts daily receipts; prepares daily cash reports, and prepares deposits; </li><li>Answers the telephone; provides accurate information to callers and/or forwards calls to appropriate personnel; takes messages as needed; </li><li>Greets office visitors; directs visitors to appropriate office and/or provides information and assistance as requested; </li><li>Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance from City personnel and citizens regarding areas of responsibility; </li><li>Performs other general clerical work as required, including but not limited to completing forms, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, etc.; </li><li>Attends staff meetings as required; </li><li>Performs other clerical duties peculiar to the department to which assigned; </li><li>Attends training, meetings, and/or workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills; </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements to Perform Work</p> <p>Must be 15 years of age or older (applicants under 18 years of age must submit proof of age at the time of application)</p> <p>The City of Columbia is proud to offer a complete benefits package to full-time employees.
