<p>Job Title: Maintenance Technician</p> <p>Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor</p> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Requisition parts and material from supply system </li><li>Start equipment/machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems </li><li>Dismantle equipment/machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, hoist or forklift </li><li>Install, replace, or change equipment/machine parts and attachments, according to specifications </li><li>Inspect or test damaged machine parts, discuss with operators, other maintenance personnel and supervisor to determine cause of failure and implement improvements to prevent repeat failure </li><li>Clean machines/equipment using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment </li><li>Perform predictive and preventative tasks assigned by supervisor and provide feedback for process improvements </li><li>Inspect and maintain facilities and support equipment such as air compressors, pumps, HVAC and general plumbing and piping </li><li>Respond promptly to production equipment breakdowns, coordinate with co-workers and production personnel to determine problem and perform corrections to return equipment to operation </li><li>Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure safety to self and others </li></ul> <p>Job Skills Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Good mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills </li><li>Strong problem solving experience </li><li>Good knowledge and experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and cooling water systems and components including ability to read prints and schematics </li><li>Good welding and fabrication skills </li><li>Basic knowledge of manual lathe operation </li><li>Excellent communication skills written and oral </li><li>Good knowledge of rigging procedures and experience </li><li>Basic knowledge of electricity </li><li>Ability to use precision measuring and alignment equipment such as, micrometers, calipers, laser aligning and precision levels </li></ul> <p>Safety Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Standard safety training </li><li>Confined space entry </li><li>Equipment Lockout/tagout (detailed) </li><li>Fire extinguisher training </li></ul> <p>Educational and/or Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Journeyman Certificate, OR </li><li>Industrial Maintenance technical degree with three to five years experience, OR </li><li>Eight to ten years practical experience </li></ul> <p>General Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Stooping, kneeling, crouching, visual activity </li><li>Climbing, reaching, balancing, walking, grasping </li><li>Pulling, pushing, lifting 50 lbs. and over </li><li>Extreme temperatures </li><li>Noise, atmospheric conditions, oils/coolant. </li></ul> <p>#LI-MG1</p> <p>INDHNCWIL1</p>
