The starting pay range for this position is $76,000.00-$92,000.00/annual, and final pay rate will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity factors. The Product Manager will collaborate with Canvas staff and members to increase knowledge and ongoing usage of these products and services. The Product Manager will develop short and long term product plans, including roadmaps, which align with the credit union's strategic objectives, support membership needs, and are competitive in the marketplace. The Product Manager will work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Retail, among others. Products include (but are not limited to, and may expand): checking, savings, certificates, money markets, IRAs, and related services.</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work across entire organization and all functional areas to deliver products and services to meet strategic and financial objectives and support membership needs. </li><li>Execute upon product strategy, coordinating with senior management to align with the overall organizational strategy. </li><li>Manage the product lifecycle from introduction through decline/retirement. Recommend enhancements of product features through growth and maturity stages that will add value to the portfolio while meeting or exceeding growth targets. </li><li>Build business cases based on strategic plans for each product line, creating product requirement documents, roadmaps, and product launch plans. </li><li>Communicate product objectives and performance in committee meetings. </li><li>Continually assess market competition through comparative analysis. Review product pricing by using market research data, cost analysis, and risk modeling to recommend pricing strategies to management. Stay updated on economic, financial, and regulatory developments that may affect product or service offerings. </li><li>Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute an annual marketing plan to include development of competitive promotions and campaigns tailored to appeal to existing and/or new membership. Support the marketing team in execution of this marketing plan. </li><li>Provide short-term and long-term portfolio forecasting for management. Prepare special reports and analyses, as needed. </li><li>Establish relevant product/service goals and work with frontline Canvas employees to achieve these goals. </li><li>Introduce off-cycle or non-planned promotions in support of evolving requirements of the credit union, as needed. </li><li>Manage vendor relationships as they relate to specified product areas. </li><li>Act as the organizational subject matter expert for all product-related functionality and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise. </li><li>Proactively work with member-serving teams to ensure their understanding of the credit union's products. </li><li>Work closely with sales and training teams to ensure that all job aids and tools are current for frontline use. </li><li>Analyze performance of products, identifying trends and usage patterns to recommend adjustments. </li><li>Exhibit support for the organization's goals, values, initiatives, and cost control. </li><li>Follow all safety and security guidelines to properly safeguard member and organization assets. </li><li>Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements. </li><li>Embrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications. </li><li>Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job. </li><li>Perform other job duties as assigned. </li><li>Pre-employment thorough background review (components include: criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, sex offender, and global sanctions). </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities</p> <p>Knowledge, Skill and Ability:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of credit union products, services, and electronic banking systems. </li><li>Solid business and financial acumen with expertise in reporting, balance sheet management, net interest margin, and forecasting, as well as return on assets, cost of funds and net worth calculations. </li><li>Strong project management and leadership skills; able to build and foster teamwork; complete projects on-time and within budget. </li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Strong problem solving and decision making skills. </li><li>Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements that affect the credit union. </li><li>Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and financial institution applications and software. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado drivers' license and provide proof of insurance. </li><li>Current Canvas employees must be meeting performance expectations and consistently demonstrating HEART behaviors to be considered. </li></ul> <p>Education or Formal Training: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum of five years related experience with product development and product lifecycle management, building segment promotional programs: leading teams to pilot, test, measure, and implement changes. Experience creating forecasts and pricing models, scoring systems, and credit union policies strongly preferred.</p> <p>Working Environment/Physical Activities</p> <p>High volume, fast-paced, dynamic office environment with some travel. Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
