Catering Sales Coordinator</p> <p>Compensation: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE) plus sales commission</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Catering Coordinator to help manage and grow our catering and back-line business. You'll play a key role in driving sales, managing orders, and building relationships with local businesses and customers, serving as the main point of contact for catering sales at multiple Potbelly Shops located in the surrounding Columbus, Ohio area.</p> <p>What's in it for you:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay, with the potential for commission and performance bonuses. </li><li>Benefits available for full-time employees, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Paid Time Off, and Meal Discounts. </li><li>Auto and Phone Allowances Provided. </li><li>Flexible hours and part-time work. </li><li>Career Advancement and Professional Development: Opportunities to grow and enhance your skills. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Work alongside the Shop Managers to set sales goals and strategies. </li><li>Coordinate delivery drivers and backline associates during peak times. </li><li>Actively prospect, solicit, qualify, and close catering business. </li><li>Accurately produce and/or review all catering contracts. </li><li>Act as the liaison between the customer and restaurant to ensure successful catering orders and generate repeat business. </li><li>Sends thank-you notes and follow up on all catering orders. </li><li>Handle customer feedback, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns effectively. </li><li>Maintain catering collateral and manage the shop's delivery trade area. </li><li>Manage house accounts and ensure accurate payments and databases. </li><li>Strive to meet and exceed sales goals; communicate daily with the District Manager on sales performance. </li><li>Lead targeted canvassing and customer correspondence to drive backline sales. </li><li>Respond promptly to catering quote requests via email. </li><li>Monitor sales trends and update the team on performance. </li><li>Ensure all catering orders are fully accurate before delivery. </li><li>Use suggestive selling of extras and sides by phone and in-store. </li><li>Use tools to ensure the correct number of products is provided with each order. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years old. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Minimum 1 year of catering sales experience required. </li><li>Reliable transportation required with MVR background check approval. </li><li>Ability to drive to and from multiple locations in the designated area. </li><li>Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands: Able to withstand long alternating periods of standing, walking, and sitting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
