<p>The Role</p> <p>The Finance Manager for Fanatics Advertising will be pivotal in shaping our financial strategy and overseeing the financial operations of our department. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong finance background, particularly those with experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or startup finance, who excel in fast-paced environments and are skilled in financial management and strategic planning. This position offers high visibility with senior management across the organization.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Own and manage the P&L for Fanatics Advertising, including creating detailed financial builds with functional leads in operations and marketing to ensure all financial aspects are up to date and accurately reflected. </li><li>Maintain and update Fanatics Advertising financial documents, including the P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and supporting schedules/analyses, ensuring their accuracy, timeliness, and quality. </li><li>Oversee and process quarterly commission payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. </li><li>Track and analyze booked revenue against forecasts to identify trends and variances. </li><li>Monitor and report on sales pipeline performance, including conversion rates from pipeline to closed campaigns. </li><li>Collaborate with internal accounting & FP&A teams to manage financial statements for Fanatics Advertising, ensuring seamless financial integration & reporting for each event. </li><li>Forecast financial outcomes across the Fanatics Advertising portfolio, developing and maintaining KPI dashboards for reporting up to senior management. Support the creation of the annual and multi-year strategic and financial plans. </li><li>Build and maintain financial models to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives and perform ad-hoc analyses on all aspects of the Fanatics Advertising business. Develop business cases that clearly communicate the ROI of initiatives. </li><li>Drive the automation of Fanatics Advertising financial reporting. </li><li>Provide strategic support and drive special projects, managing competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance. </li><li>Build strong working relationships with the Fanatics Advertising team and the broader Fanatics Corporate finance and accounting teams to foster transparency and collaboration in financial matters. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, with a background in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting or a related field. Startup finance experience is preferred. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. </li><li>Strong financial modeling skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Expertise using Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and drive business insights. </li><li>Blend of financial, strategy, business analysis, and project management skills. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Results-driven, organized, and efficient team player skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environments. </li><li>Clear and effective communicator with experience engaging both executive and tactical audiences. </li><li>Natural curiosity and drive, with a proactive approach toward what may make sense even if not specifically requested. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in advertising or marketing finance is preferred. </li><li>Passion for sports and understanding of the sports business landscape. </li></ul> <p>Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments.</p> <p>The salary range for this position is $133,750 to $155,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.</p>
