<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Make a splash with the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department! We are recruiting for Pool Managers for the Greenville Outdoor Aquatic Center(operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day). This position works directly under the supervision of the Aquatic Supervisor and Aquatic Coordinator. Responsible for the daily operations of the Outdoor Pool, ensuring a safe environment, and supervising lifeguards, instructors, and attendants.</p> <p>Seasonal position: May - September 2026</p> <p>Minimum Age: 21 years old, as of May 18, 2026</p> <p>Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour</p> <p>Hours: 10 - 20 hours per week, Sunday - Saturday (hours vary and are flexible)</p> <p>This is a continuous posting and may close at any time.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing the day-to-day operation and ensuring the safety of the community pool; </li><li>Providing excellent customer service to all patrons; </li><li>Assisting with groups, programs, staff training, chemical testing, facility management, and attendant duties; </li><li>Supporting the opening and closing of the pool; </li><li>Opening/closing and conducting chemical tests at the Spray Park as needed; </li><li>Handling daily cash retrieval, including collecting money and securing change; </li><li>Serving as a lifeguard and swim instructor when required; </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned to support smooth and safe operations. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current certification in Lifeguard, CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid/AED </li><li>Certified Water Safety Instructor (preferred) or 2 years of teaching swim lessons </li><li>Must have 3 references on your application </li></ul> <p>Preferred (not required):</p> <ul> <li>6 months of pool operation and lifeguard experience (equivalent to 2 summer seasons) </li><li>Certified Water Safety Instructor </li><li>Lifeguard Instructor </li><li>Certified Pool Operator </li><li>Managerial experience </li></ul>
