<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Canterbury Public Schools</p> <p>45 Westminster Road</p> <p>Canterbury, CT 06331</p> <p>860-546-6950</p> <p>2024-2025</p> <p>Part-Time Speech & Language Pathologist</p> <p>Immediate Opening</p> <p>3 days per week</p> <p>Qualified Candidate must hold CT Certification 061</p> <p>Canterbury Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Speech & Language Pathologist to work in a school setting (Grade Pk-grade 8). Join a dynamic school district of professionals who are student-focused.Canterbury offers small class sizes with a low student on teacher ratio, competitive pay and strong collegial support. This position is under the direction of the Director of Pupil Services.</p> <p>Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Canterbury Educators Association.</p> <p>Professional Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze speech and language needs through an equity lens, considering the impact of socio-economics and dual language status. </li><li>Value an integrated model of service delivery where services are delivered in the classroom when it benefits the student's growth and development </li><li>Value program development and continuous program improvement </li><li>Make critical contributions to the district's MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) process through data driven intervention planning </li><li>Provide direct service according to IEP/504 plan </li><li>Consult with classroom teacher to assist in implementation of IEP/504 plan and recommend classroom accommodations and modifications </li><li>Communicate with team members, school personnel, and families with a solution-oriented approach </li><li>Maintains records and documentation as the IEP/504 plan requires </li><li>Conducts thorough speech/language evaluations according to CSDE guidelines, and in consideration of extraneous factors that may present as a speech/language disorder </li><li>Writes IEPs and maintains records of progress on all students on caseload </li><li>Prepare for MTSS/PPT meetings by reporting on intervention data collected. </li></ul> <p>Interested candidates should send the following:</p> <ul> <li>Completed application (Please find a copy on our website at </li></ul> <p>www.canterburypublicschools.org/humanresources</p> <ul> <li>Letter of Interest </li><li>Resume </li><li>Copy of applicable certification(s) </li><li>3 current letters of recommendation </li><li>Transcripts </li></ul> <p>All completed documentation should be sent to:</p> <p>Dr. Christopher Bitgood, Superintendent of Schools</p> <p>Canterbury Public Schools</p> <p>45 Westminster Road</p> <p>Canterbury, CT 06331</p> <p>Email applications will also be accepted, provided all documents are scanned and included in the email.
