As a leading children's health system experiencing steady growth, we're excited to expand our team with exceptional team members who share our vision of transforming children's health and well-being as one team.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</p> <p>Education Required: M.D., or D.O. degree required</p> <p>Active Scholarly Program with publication history is desirable</p> <p>LICENSE and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIRED</p> <p>Active CT Physician license</p> <p>Active DEA</p> <p>Board eligible or certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine as appropriate.</p> <p>ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Provide assessment of patients by obtaining a comprehensive history. </li><li>Examines patients to obtain objective physical data and supporting information through laboratory and imaging modalities. </li><li>Formulate a differential diagnosis and develops a reasonable treatment plan to include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions and making appropriate referrals as indicated. </li><li>Maintain ongoing documentation of patient interventions within the timeframe established by policy, to include documentation of initial assessment, treatment plans, progress notes and any other patient interactions, to include telephone calls. </li><li>Collaborate with nursing, support personnel and administration in matters affecting patient care. </li><li>Ensure the protection of patient rights and adherence to HIPAA regulations. </li><li>Ensures appropriate handoff communications are accomplished. </li><li>Responsible for teaching medical students, pediatric residents and neonatal fellows </li><li>Initiate and/or participate in specific research or other scholarly activities. </li></ul>
