To learn more about PrepNet Virtual Academy click here.</p> <p>Why Choose PrepNet Virtual Academy:</p> <p>Work comfortably from home.</p> <p>Access to a best-in-class curriculum with advanced instructional tools and resources.</p> <p>Diverse global staff and student body create a rich learning environment.</p> <p>Ensures a safe learning environment.</p> <p>Personalized development and coaching opportunities.</p> <p>Convenient meetings during school hours minimize after-hours commitments.</p> <p>Systems in place to support student well-being and family engagement.</p> <p>Colleagues you enjoy working with to serve students.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.</p> <p>Conduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for special education evaluation to help determine eligibility for services.</p> <p>Participate in the IEP/Section 504 process, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress.</p> <p>Collaborate as a member of the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities.</p> <p>Consult with teachers, school administrators, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding students' physical, motor, and sensory development.</p> <p>Work closely with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom environment and support classroom objectives through therapy programs.</p> <p>Provide training to relevant individuals on effective methods to assist students in mainstream settings.</p> <p>Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with school staff and parents.</p> <p>Utilize treatment strategies involving physical, sensory, manual, creative, and recreational activities to support student development.</p> <p>Design adaptive equipment and devices for individual students and classroom use.</p> <p>Maintain an accurate record of student caseload requirements and update the Special Education Administrator on any changes.</p> <p>Maintain a detailed schedule and service logs, and track student progress toward therapy goals.</p> <p>Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials.</p> <p>Pursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about current practices and research in occupational therapy.</p> <p>Participate in school initiatives such as screening programs to support student development.</p> <p>Attend parent-teacher meetings as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.</p> <p>Perform other job related duties as assigned by the building principal</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>American Occupational Therapy License</p> <p>National Heritage Academies is an equal-opportunity employer.</p> <p>NHA is only registered for state employment purposes in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.</p>
