The Global Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end logistics operations for World Medical Mission, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services both domestically and internationally. This includes overseeing transportation, inventory management, customs compliance, and supply chain coordination for the ministrys various programs and projects. This role ensures compliance with international regulations, optimizes logistics processes, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to achieve timely, cost-effective, and secure delivery of products worldwide.</p> <p>A day in the life of a Global Logistics Specialist:</p> <p>At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.</p> <p>In the role of Global Logistics Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. </li><li>Plan, execute, and monitor the import/export logistics process from origin to destination which includes scheduling and arranging shipments, negotiating pricing, coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and customers to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery through problem solving when needed. </li><li>Create accurate invoices with required documentation for efficient transport/export and customs clearance for domestic and global shipments in a timely manner for our end-users managing any issues that arise during the import/export process. </li><li>Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and documentation requirements staying current on industry standards and world affairs. </li><li>Maintain accurate shipping records, generates logistics reports, and supports audit and compliance reviews serving as the primary contact for all aspects of Hazardous Materials (Dangerous Goods) for World Medical Mission. </li><li>Analyze logistics workflows and identify opportunities for improving delivery times, reducing costs, and mitigating risk. </li><li>Follow policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual. </li><li>Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers. </li><li>Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, volunteers, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public within the workplace, in the community, and before the general public. </li><li>Reflect Godly character by conducting activities in a manner consistent with the Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Christian Code of Conduct, Statement of Fidelity to the Holy Scriptures and Distinct Objectives. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description. </li></ul> <p>Learn more about</p>
