<p>SUBJECT: Teacher - Diesel Technology - Ch. 74</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>The position of Teacher - Diesel Technology is currently available at South High School. This is a Chapter 74 position</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:</p> <p>This individual is accountable for teaching and supervision of students in the Diesel Technology state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Automotive Department Head.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)</p> <ol> <li> <p>Responsible for the implementation of departmental curriculum objectives based on State of Massachusetts VTE frameworks Diesel Technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.</p> </li><li> <p>Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Massachusetts teacher's approval (Chapter 74) in Diesel Technology or ability to obtain within 1 year from hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>SEI Endorsement</p> </li><li> <p>ASE/NATEF Certifications in Diesel.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years fulltime experience in Diesel Technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Evidence of good human relation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Competent in computer applications.</p> </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition.</p> </li></ol> <p>WORK YEAR: 185 days</p> <p>SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelor's Degree with the potential to increase dependent on the highest level of education.</p> <p>TO APPLY: Any person interested in this position must submit a resume, cover letter, licensure, and answer all questions on-line at https://worcesterschools.org/about/employment-opportunities</p> <p>This deadline date does not preclude further advertisement or recruitment.</p>
