We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for coordinating and managing medical education programs by fostering relationships with healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals, to facilitate their professional development and ensure the organization offers high-quality educational opportunities.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care?</p> <p>No</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as medical staff, department heads, and education committees, to identify educational needs and develop comprehensive medical education programs. </li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers to understand their educational needs and promote participation in the organization's programs. </li><li>Organize and manage educational events, including scheduling, venue selection, logistics coordination, and securing necessary resources (e.g., speakers, audiovisual equipment, materials). </li><li>Ensure that the organization's educational programs meet the requirements of accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies responsible for CME. </li><li>Develop marketing strategies and materials to promote medical education programs to healthcare providers. </li><li>Collect feedback from participants, instructors, and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness and impact of educational programs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?</p> <p>No</p> <p>Licenses and Credentials</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Medical Education Program Management 1-2 years required</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, including an understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and the dynamics of healthcare provider organizations. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential for building and maintaining strong connections with healthcare providers. </li><li>Strong logistical and project management skills are important for coordinating multiple aspects of events, including venue selection, scheduling, and resource management. </li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively conveying information, delivering presentations, and facilitating discussions with healthcare providers, internal stakeholders, and external partners. </li><li>Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to program evaluation and outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>With oversight and direction from the Medical Education Manager and the Program Director, the Education Program Coordinator will assist the Medical Education Manager in coordinating the Newton-Wellesley Hospital (NWH) Transitional Year Residency Training Program, resident rotations, medical student rotations and physician assistant (PA) students at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham. Using your proficiency in various software applications such as Microsoft Office, Workday, Beeline Adobe Acrobat, graphic software, you'll continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including recruiting trainees, onboarding, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, developing projects, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, long-range planning, and managing internal and external program relations.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The Education Program Coordinator will be part of a team that is responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate medical student, physician assistant students, residents and fellow rotations. </li><li>Liaison to Tufts Medical Center with the assistance of the Medical Education Manager. </li><li>Liaise with MCPHS and assist in all PA student related educational matters. </li><li>Support office management issues and activities and monitor status of projects. </li><li>Identify and evaluate the methods for improving workflow and cost effectiveness; may assist in program-level policy development. </li><li>Administratively supervise and support students/residents/interns/fellows. </li><li>Oversee trainee orientation. </li><li>Assist with tracking, reporting, and ensuring compliance with procedures regarding licensing, moonlighting, insurance extensions, annual contracts, and initial and re-credentialing of trainees. </li><li>Assist with developing, implementing, and overseeing the maintenance of filing, record keeping, distribution of materials, and other types of office/program systems. Evaluates and standardizes office procedures and effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues. </li><li>Assist with maintaining databases with resident and faculty data, including New Innovations. </li><li>Assist with planning departmental annual events including recruitment, orientation, graduation, faculty retreats, as well as various meetings and program-related events. </li><li>Assist with organizing meetings and preparing and distributing materials for conferences and lectures.
