<p>COACHING POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <p>7th & 8th Grade Volleyball Coaches</p> <p>Alexandria Monroe High School/Junior High Volleyball ·Alexandria, Indiana</p> <p>Season: Fall 2026 | Application Deadline: May 1, 2026</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Alexandria Monroe Jr/Sr High School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches for our 7th Grade and 8th Grade</p> <p>Volleyball programs. Coaches will be responsible for developing student-athletes' volleyball skills, sportsmanship, and</p> <p>love of the game in a positive and supportive environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Plan and conduct engaging practices that develop fundamental volleyball skills including serving, passing, setting, </li></ul> <p>hitting, and blocking</p> <ul> <li>Coach players during matches, providing in-game instruction and strategic direction </li><li>Promote a positive team culture centered on respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship </li><li>Communicate regularly with players, parents/guardians, and school administration. </li><li>Monitor academic eligibility and overall well-being of student-athletes. </li><li>Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games. </li><li>Organize and manage equipment, uniforms, and other team logistics. </li><li>Attend required coaches' meetings, training, and school events. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in volleyball preferred </li><li>Experience working with middle school or youth-aged athletes strongly preferred </li><li>Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills </li><li>Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes </li><li>Ability to pass a background check as required by Alexandria Monroe School District. </li><li>Valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Schedule & Compensation</p> <ul> <li>Season runs approximately August through September </li><li>Practices are typically held on weekdays in the evenings </li><li>This is a part-time, seasonal position </li><li>Compensation will be based on experience </li></ul> <p>Application</p> <p>Please apply on Nimble: https://app.hirenimble.com/jobs/alexandria-csc</p> <p>Interested candidates after applying can submit the following to Josh Blanton (Athletic Director) at jblanton@alex.k12.in.us</p> <ul> <li>Letter of interest/cover letter </li><li>Current resume </li><li>Two or more professional references (name, title, phone number, email) </li><li>Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
