Then look no further for the perfect job for you!</p> <p>The Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) is more than just an exercise facility; it is a centralized hub and resource for the residents of Dublin and nearby communities. As part of an evolving and fast-paced organization with a strong customer service focus, the successful candidate's primary area of responsibility will be the supervision of the group fitness program at the DCRC.</p> <p>Scheduling/Availability:</p> <ul> <li>The successful candidate is expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. </li><li>The scheduling process is very flexible and we offer a variety of shifts. </li><li>The nature of this position requires the successful candidate to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>Note: This is a part time, hourly position that is not eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.</p> <p>Beyond the Paycheck</p> <ul> <li>Refer a Friend Bonus Program ($50 per successful employee referral) </li><li>Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) enrollment and contributions </li><li>Potential Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility </li><li>Support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>20% discount on classes and free textbooks at Franklin University </li><li>Fostering Internal Talent (FIT) Program offering incentives, training, and team building </li><li>Discounts on classes and memberships at the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) </li><li>The City maintains the cost of team member certifications and training time is paid ($40.00-$100.00 value). All certifications achieved belong to the team member. </li><li>Employee recognition and appreciation events throughout the summer </li><li>Discounted/free employee participation in select City events (Memorial Golf Tournament, Dublin Irish Festival, etc.) </li><li>Uniforms provided </li><li>Career mapping and growth opportunities </li></ul> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <p>Under the direction of the Fitness/Wellness Program Supervisor, the successful candidate's duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Development and management of the group fitness program schedule </li><li>Distribution of the schedule for public information </li><li>Analysis of current class formats and recommend development/innovation </li><li>Work with supervisor to develop advertising and media content to solicit new participants </li><li>Evaluate and give recommendations for group fitness program, policy and procedure improvement </li><li>Work with relevant fitness staff in coordinating classrooms space and equipment </li><li>Hire, supervise and evaluate group fitness instructor staff </li><li>Conduct group fitness staff meetings </li><li>Resolve instructor scheduling conflicts and act as a sub when needed </li><li>Handle patron inquiries and comment cards related to the group fitness program </li></ul> <p>Typical Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Current certification through a nationally recognized fitness organization </li><li>Possession of current Industry certification (ACE, AFFA, ACSM) </li><li>Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>The ability to work as part of a dynamic fitness staff </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Training in specialty instruction (i.e. resist-a-ball, spinning, BOSU, body sculpting, sports conditioning, etc.) </li><li>Prior experience in the supervision/coordination of a group fitness program </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information: All positions within this job classification have been designated as Casual in nature and all employees serving in such positions are considered to be Casual employees.
