<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Teacher Assistant - Gifted Education - IDEA Center</p> <ul> <li>Schedule: part-time approximately 7 hours/day, 21 hours/week </li><li>Hourly rate: $22.23 </li><li>Substitute Certification Required; Missouri Teacher Certification Preferred </li><li>Non-exempt </li><li>Benefits not included </li></ul> <p>Summary: Provides additional support to teachers to help with student needs in a gifted enrichment classroom. Duties may include but are not limited to: teaching mini-lessons, working with small groups or individual students, supporting student behavior, and lesson preparation.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Assists teacher in routing classroom operation i.e. tutoring etc. </li><li>Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports. </li><li>Supervises student involved in non-classroom activities; recess, lunch etc. </li><li>Implements/follows teachers instructions of classroom procedures; reinforcement, philosophy and consistency. </li><li>Assists with clerical duties; inventory, bulletin boards, collecting money etc. </li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of students' problems & keeps a firm course yet is courteous. </li><li>Performs extra duties as assigned by the administration. </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in applying for this position, please apply via our online posting at https://lindbergh.schoolspring.com/.
