<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a Lead Medical Assistant to join outpatient Gyn Oncology Team.</p> <p>The lead MA is accountable for assisting the practice supervisor and/or manager with the coordination of the day-to-day functions and efficient operations of the site. Performs all functions of a medical assistant while providing leadership and serving as a role model, setting an example for employees in terms of customer service, professionalism and productivity.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates and assigns the MA staff to provide adequate coverage </li><li>Assists with daily staffing changes </li><li>Assist supervisor/ manager with daily activities including training, scheduling, reporting, complaints, staff performance. </li><li>Prepares exam and treatment rooms. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Ensures patient is given appropriate clothing in preparation for the expected physical exam or minor surgeries </li><li>Obtains pertinent history, enters into the medical record including chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and appropriate review of systems, and takes/documents patient vital signs. In treatment rooms, serves as a scribe between patient and physician, documenting all relevant information. </li><li>Processes and files all lab/diagnostic test results, correspondence, clinical notes in patients' chart after they have been reviewed by the physician. Assures accurate and complete documentation on patient records and notifies providers and other departments of diagnostic testing results. </li><li>Coordinates patient flow in the office. Collaborates with receptionist to make certain that patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner. Assists front office personnel by answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, and other tasks as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent related training </li><li>Current Medical Assistant Certificate/Registration </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of Medical Assistant experience. </li><li>CPR required </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Day shift </li><li>Great benefits effective day 1! </li><li>Competitive pay </li></ul> <p>We are a group of primary care providers, specialists and surgeons serving patients in Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
