<p>Hiram College invites applications for the position of Softball Coach. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the recruitment, retention, and day-to-day operations of the Hiram College's Softball program. Hiram College is a member of the Presidents Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III.</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>The graduate assistant softball coach will work directly with the softball program and assist the head coach with all facets of the day-to-day operations of the program in compliance with Hiram College, PAC, and NCAA policies and procedures.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities and Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assist head coach in practice and competition planning and implementation </li><li>Assist in all facets of recruiting and retention of student-athletes to the softball program </li><li>Assist with strength and conditioning program for softball </li><li>Assist with all funding raising initiatives for the Hiram College softball program </li><li>Do athletic laundry in sport season </li><li>Participate in Annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing </li><li>Other duties as assigned, to possibly include, but not be limited to other sport event management during the off-season. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Strong working knowledge of softball </li><li>Ability to teach skills and strategy of softball </li><li>Working knowledge of strength and conditioning relative to softball </li><li>Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public. </li><li>Microsoft Word </li><li>Excel </li><li>Experience with Front Rush </li><li>Proficient with all forms of social media </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Previous college softball and/or coaching experience preferred </li><li>Experience recruiting college athletes preferred </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree required </li><li>Acceptance into the Hiram College MAIS Graduate or Sports Management Program required for consideration </li></ul> <p>Application Procedure: Qualified candidates are encouraged to send a letter of application, resume, and names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three references to HR@hiram.edu or apply through the provided link.
