IF YOU ARE NOT AN ELIGIBLE CCA STUDENT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.</p> <p>Student work-study employees in the IT department will assist with a variety of tasks, including providing first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. They will help set up and maintain devices, ensure classroom technology like A/V systems and other equipment is operational, and provide support for college-sponsored events. Additionally, they may assist with administrative duties such as updating IT documentation, managing equipment inventory, and logging support tickets. This role offers hands-on experience with practical IT operations in an academic setting.</p> <p>Technical Support</p> <ul> <li>Assisting students, faculty and staff with basic troubleshooting for hardware (e.g., computers, printers, projectors). </li><li>Providing first-level support for software issues (e.g., login problems, application errors). </li><li>Answering basic IT-related questions in person, over the phone, or via email. </li></ul> <p>Device Setup and Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Setting up and configuring new workstations or laptops. </li><li>Installing software updates and security patches under IT supervision. </li><li>Testing classroom or lab equipment to ensure functionality (e.g., audiovisual setups). </li><li>Keeping track of equipment, such as pc's, projectors or cameras. </li></ul> <p>Help Desk Support</p> <ul> <li>Logging IT support tickets and following up with users. </li><li>Escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff. </li><li>Troubleshooting printer issues & replacing toner </li></ul> <p>Network and Systems</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with Wi-Fi connection issues for students and staff. </li><li>Monitoring lab or classroom computers for unauthorized usage. </li><li>Helping to document network layouts or updating inventory records. </li></ul> <p>Classroom Support</p> <ul> <li>Setting up and troubleshooting A/V systems for lectures, presentations, or events. </li><li>Supporting hybrid or virtual class sessions by managing webcams, microphones, and screens. </li><li>Ensuring equipment (e.g., green screens, editing stations) is operational for classes or projects. </li></ul> <p>Administrative Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Updating IT documentation, FAQs, or knowledge base articles. </li><li>Maintaining inventory records for IT assets. </li><li>Assisting with data entry or simple reporting tasks using IT tools. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Able to lift 40 pounds and stand on ladders </li><li>Good written and verbal English language skills </li><li>Pursuing an IT educational path. </li></ul> <p>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Must have completed FAFSA on file </li><li>Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours </li><li>Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Must be seeking an eligible program of study </li></ul> <p>By applying for this announced position, applicants are certifying that all statements, information and documents provided are true, complete and correct to the best of their knowledge and are made in good faith.
