<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is responsible for providing administrative assistance for the Office of the Secretary. This person has extensive contact with the Governor's office, legislators, agency executives, DOC division administrators, public officials, and deals with confidential and sensitive information. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining centralized assignment and logging systems; providing administrative staff services to the Office of the Secretary; drafting written responses for various audiences; and providing programmatic support to the Office of the Secretary.</p> <p>Duties also include scheduling high-level meetings in coordination with internal and external stakeholders including numerous advocacy groups and developing and maintaining a monitoring system to assure that assignments and communications are completed as scheduled.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in pay schedule and range 81-04 with a starting pay of $44241 to $78665 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.</p> <p>The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.</p> <p>NOTE: This position may be eligible to work remotely up to 2 days per week; after completion of training.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Providing administrative support for management in an organization (organizing meetings/events; creating agendas; taking meeting minutes; scheduling calendars; making travel arrangements; composing correspondence; and proofreading documents, etc.) </li><li>Preparing confidential and sensitive written reports/communication materials (memos, summaries, reports, etc.) </li><li>Utilizing computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) to create or manage data, reports, spreadsheets, memos, etc. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above, well qualified applicant will have experience:</p> <ul> <li>Working as a liaison with high-level stakeholders such as appointed and/or elected government officials, etc. </li><li>Compiling, analyzing, and presenting information and data </li><li>Providing administrative support for executive level management in an organization </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click on "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
