<p>Responsible for teaching English as a second language to our students. In this position, there is an opportunity to help develop instructional materials, and assess students' progress. You will also be expected to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment to help students improve their English language skills.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels. </li><li>Instructing from educational materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups. </li><li>Assessing students' language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs. </li><li>Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement. </li><li>Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation. </li><li>Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning. </li><li>Keeping accurate records of student grades, and progress. </li><li>Staying up to date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction. </li><li>This position will require morning and/or evening hours of instruction. </li><li>This is not an exhaustive list of duties. </li><li>Required </li><li>1 year of ESL classroom teaching experience </li><li>Fluent in Spanish and English. </li></ul> <p>Ivy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
