<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Middle Gate School</p> <p>7 Cold Spring Road</p> <p>Newtown, CT 06470</p> <p>Ju;y 28, 2025</p> <p>TITLE:</p> <p>Instructional Paraeducator 27 hours/wk</p> <p>SCHOOL: Middle Gate School</p> <p>STARTING DATE: August 2025</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Love of children</p> <p>Work under the direction of classroom teacher(s) to support individuals and/or small groups of students in all areas of academics</p> <p>Ability to positively support the development of social-emotional skills</p> <p>Ability to implement behavior support strategies and collect data,as needed</p> <p>Ability to support student use of various learning strategies</p> <p>Assist in other various capacities, as needed</p> <p>Various duties will be assigned by the principal</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Ability to assist in classroom instruction to support student learning</p> <p>Ability to follow through on direction(s)</p> <p>Ability to establish positive rapport with students</p> <p>Possess strong teamwork and communication skills</p> <p>Adapt easily to change</p> <p>REMUNERATION: Per union contract</p> <p>The Newtown Public School District values the benefits that a diverse workforce brings to our students and community.
