The successful candidate will demonstrate the most effective teaching and learning research in lesson planning and content delivery. This candidate will demonstrate collegiality, flexibility, and leadership within the department, school, and college.  WCTC offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, a future-focused department team, instructional training, and support in an institution that is thriving.</p> <p>Under direct supervision of the associate dean, the primary responsibility is providing instruction to students enrolled in a variety of psychology courses. Classes may include (but are not limited to):  Psychology of Human Relations, Introduction to Psychology and Developmental Psychology.   </p> <p>Candidate must be able to teach during the WCTC summer session as well as during the fall and spring terms.  </p> <p>Candidate must be able to teach on campus and online.  </p> <p>Pay will vary by course being taught. </p> <ul> <li>Deliver high-quality instruction to a range of program students </li><li>Integrate technology into teaching of course material </li><li>Contribute to program development, curriculum design, and program assessment </li><li>Collaborate with a variety of faculty, staff, and students using strong communication and organizational skills </li><li>Demonstrate a strong foundation in pedagogy </li><li>Use feedback as a developmental tool for growth around instructional effectiveness and collegiality </li><li>Effective at teaching in multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, internet)  </li><li>Maintain positive relationships within the Liberal Arts programs and the various occupational programs at WCTC </li><li>Master's in Psychology or a related field </li><li>At least two years of post-secondary teaching experience required as the lead instructor (not TA work) </li><li>Post-secondary experience in designing, planning, and implementing alternative delivery formats (internet, accelerated, hybrid) </li><li>Experience in CANVAS or similar learning management system </li><li>Teaching experience, work experience or experience developing curriculum in the area of international or diversity studies (desired) </li><li>Online teaching experience required </li></ul> <p>All applicants must complete the online job application and attach the following: </p> <ul> <li>Resume  </li><li>Cover Letter </li><li>Transcripts </li></ul> <p>For more information, please contact Julie Steuber, Associate Dean at jsteuber2@wctc.edu. </p>
