<p>Best Buy has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Associate Manager- Pricing. The</p> <p>Associate Manager- Pricing owns the development and execution of pricing strategies for their</p> <p>high volume/profile assigned categories, and influences business stakeholders by providing in-</p> <p>depth, category and channel specific pricing analysis and recommendations across pricing</p> <p>capabilities. With the evolution of the pricing organization, this individual may also be called</p> <p>upon to lead various special projects.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute Clearance, Open Box, and Competitive Pricing Strategies to </li></ul> <p>optimize profit, manage at-risk inventory and/or drive Price Perception</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Category Teams to develop promotional strategies that impact business </li></ul> <p>and enterprise goals</p> <ul> <li>Act as an integration point between Pricing and Merchant teams. Develop strong, trust- </li></ul> <p>infused relationships with these teams by compiling persuasive arguments to help guide</p> <p>pricing-related decisions</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate team leadership by contributing to team development through mentorship, </li></ul> <p>sharing of best practices, and/or project/capability leadership</p> <ul> <li>Leadership of workstreams/initiatives/committees that impact the broader Pricing and/or </li></ul> <p>cross-functional teams</p> <p>Performance Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Conduct detailed, category-specific, analysis to ensure prices meet category level </li></ul> <p>goals.</p> <ul> <li>Track pricing performance against financial goals and key performance indicators; </li></ul> <p>identify risks and opportunities which may impact overall performance</p> <ul> <li>Perform self-driven identification of broad business risks and opportunities </li><li>Provide analysis and actionable recommendations, across pricing capabilities, including </li></ul> <p>forecasted and actual financial impacts of proposed pricing actions</p> <p>Communication and Influence</p> <ul> <li>Present insights/recommendations to Category Teams and other cross functional </li></ul> <p>partners in a clear and concise manner that drives understanding and action</p> <p>Partner with cross-functional teams (Retail Ops, Demand Planning, Category Teams,</p> <p>Space Management, Bestbuy.com, Secondary Markets, Finance, etc...) and lead</p> <p>initiatives to improve financial results, ensure alignment of price strategy and seamless</p> <p>execution of pricing-related priorities.</p> <p>Team Leadership & Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a teachable proficiency and support continuous improvement of current </li></ul> <p>state processes, tools, and reporting through collaboration and quality control processes</p> <ul> <li>Engage in enhancement and development discussions around pricing tools, including </li></ul> <p>UAT testing, model deployment, etc.</p> <p>Basic Requirements</p> <ul> <li>4 or more years experience performing quantitative/financial analysis, pricing or </li></ul> <p>promotion management, or business analysis within a retail, consulting or consumer-</p> <p>oriented industry</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written </li><li>2 or more years experience influencing others and providing leadership level updates </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to build strong trust infused relationships </li><li>Experience in retail industry in pricing, inventory management, merchandising and/or </li></ul> <p>finance</p> <ul> <li>Process improvement and/or project management skills </li></ul> <p>Best Buy is an equal opportunity employerAuto Req.
