In this role, you will be at the heart of our clinical operations, providing high-level technical support and ensuring the highest standards of care for our large animal patients.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Clinical Care & Patient Management</p> <ul> <li>Treatment & Monitoring: Directly responsible for all hourly treatments, patient monitoring, and general husbandry care for equine and farm animal patients. </li><li>Emergency Response: Provide immediate triage and treatment for emergency caseloads. </li><li>Veterinary Assistance: Support veterinarians during examinations, medical procedures, animal handling, and restraint. Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and maintaining physical stamina in environments involving hazardous materials, gas anesthetics, and zoonotic diseases. </li><li>Infectious Disease Control: Rigorously maintain and ensure compliance with all hospital Infectious Disease protocols to ensure patient safety. </li></ul> <p>Education & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Clinical Instruction: Assist in the hands-on teaching of veterinary students, interns, and house officers regarding technical skills and patient care. </li><li>Communication: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with ancillary services and other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient transitions. </li></ul> <p>Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Facility Maintenance: Manage supplies and equipment, including overseeing repair schedules and ensuring all tools are in working order. </li><li>Administrative Accuracy: Assist with inventory control, supply ordering, and purchasing.
