<p>Location: This position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.</p> <p>Salary: Compensation for this internship will be $25 per hour.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Finance Intern will provide financial insight and analyses to support management decision making for the North America Region. This role will support the Finance team in daily and monthly activities as well as provide support for the annual financial budget creation.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities</p> <p>North America Reporting and Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly sales reporting </li><li>Expenses Reporting/Analysis: </li><li>Assist with the review of expense accounts for accuracy </li><li>Submit monthly accruals and reclasses; work closely with accounting to ensure necessary adjustments are made </li><li>Assist with monthly expense variance analysis for both accounting and financial support, suggest revised forecasts where necessary </li><li>Support market and office teams to analyze performance through both standardized and ad hoc reporting. </li></ul> <p>North America Budget and Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Support finance team in preparation for the annual budget. </li><li>Create reporting which will be utilized during the budget process. </li></ul> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reporting and other financial analyses to support sales, staffing, operating and development initiatives as needed </li><li>Work on special projects as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance in process </li><li>Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel </li><li>Basic analytical skills </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with management </li><li>Self- motivated with a strong drive for achievement </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Previous retail or consumer goods internships </li><li>Knowledge of Business Objects, Hyperion and other Tiffany systems </li></ul>
