<p>Mine Development - Bullitt County Stone - Rogers Group Inc - Shepherdsville, KY</p> <p>Full-Time</p> <p>Day Shift - approximate shift times of 5:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday - Friday</p> <p>Wages starting at $25.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Overall compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and skillset.</p> <p>Bullitt County Stone is developing a new underground limestone mine at our Shepherdsville, KY location and is seeking a Mine Maintenance Technician. The mine development team is a project-based team tasked with creating essential infrastructure, including access declines, ventilation systems, and ground support, to ensure safe and efficient limestone extraction. Team members in this role are vital to reinforcing mine passages, installing infrastructure, maintaining equipment, and upholding safety and environmental standards.</p> <p>This project is anticipated to span a duration of 3 years. Please advise that onboarding and training may be conducted at other sites to include Crestwood, KY or Louisville, KY until the team officially launches at Bullitt County Stone in the spring of 2025.</p> <p>The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Perform bolting and meshing of the roof and ribs. </li><li>Perform duties to apply shotcrete to the roof and ribs of the mine </li><li>General mine labor in production areas, including installing conveyor and advancing ventilation duct, water line, electrical cable, etc. </li><li>Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including a dozer, roof bolter, front end loader, Haul Truck etc. </li><li>Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times </li><li>Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment </li><li>Report equipment problems and identify them to management. </li><li>Complete equipment pre-shift report - Conduct thorough Workplace Exam, to identify and correct hazards daily </li><li>Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment </li><li>Ability to maintain safe working conditions </li><li>Must place a high priority on attendance </li><li>Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision </li><li>Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned </li><li>Ability to learn quickly </li><li>Must be willing to work weekends and overtime </li><li>Must pass pre-employment drug screen </li><li>Experience in tunneling or mine development considered a plus </li></ul> <p>Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.</p> <p>As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution. </li><li>Company provided Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance. </li><li>Retirement 401(k) with company contribution and match at one year of service. </li><li>Company provided Short- and Long-Term Disability. </li><li>Paid Holiday's including Christmas shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day. </li><li>Paid vacation available after 180-day probationary period and accrued based on years of service. </li><li>Annual performance-based merit increases. </li><li>Career growth/advancement opportunities. </li></ul> <p>RGI EEO Statement</p> <p>It is the policy of Rogers Group, Inc. to recruit, hire, and promote individuals based on demonstrated merit and qualifications.
