<p>General Summary of Position</p> <p>The Material Handler / Delivery Driver will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations while using a variety of forklift equipment safely.</p> <p>Essential (Core Competencies) Duties</p> <p>Analyze cut sheets and blueprints to determine needed materials for the assigned jig.</p> <p>Safely transport both raw and finished materials to the production line utilizing various forklifts.</p> <p>Safely load product onto and unload product to/from flatbeds and box trailers</p> <p>Unload material orders and organize product in the yard according to inventory procedures</p> <p>Clean and maintain work area and follows all safety rules and practices</p> <p>Move waste from working area of yard to dumpsters</p> <p>Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in professional, courteous, respectful, ethical manner with co-workers and supervisors.</p> <p>Use good judgment and common sense</p> <p>Assist other departments when needed to maintain production</p> <p>Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, training, rules and guidelines.</p> <p>Attends and/or completes welder and safety training (through KLOVER Learning Management System) as required by management.</p> <p>Be able to pass DOT medical exam.</p> <p>Have valid drivers license.</p> <p>Be able to operate stake body delivery truck.</p> <p>Marginal Functions</p> <p>Assist Sheathing Dept. in applying finish materials of welded panels.</p> <p>Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis.</p> <p>Qualifications / Preferred Education and Experience</p> <p>High school diploma or GED.</p> <p>Experience with operating a forklift safely in a manufacturing environment</p> <p>Previous experience moving heavy materials around an active job site or manufacturing shop</p> <p>5+ years' experience with operating a forklift safely in a manufacturing environment</p> <p>Current forklift certification</p> <p>Knowledge of fabrication shop and building materials (steel, sheathing, etc.)</p> <p>Previous delivery driver experience</p> <p>Key Competencies</p> <p>The ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all areas involved.</p> <p>The need to be self-motivated to grow personally and professionally through on-going education as a result of the rate of change in the position.</p> <p>The ability to successfully adapt (personally & professionally) to changes in the internal and external environment.</p> <p>The ability to focus on and meet target goals and objectives.</p> <p>The ability to evaluate, select and act on various methods and strategies for solving problems and meeting objectives before being asked or required to do so.</p> <p>The ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.</p> <p>The ability to willingly cooperate and work collaboratively toward solutions that generally benefit all involved parties and accomplish group objectives.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment will consist mainly of heavy work in a manufacturing environment. There may be some exposure to seasonal humidity and extreme heat over 85 degrees, excessive noise, and some vibration associated with the use of tools and equipment.
