<p>LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>Leominster Center for Excellence and Leominster Academy</p> <p>236 Lancaster St. Leominster MA 01453</p> <p>Adjustment Counselor</p> <p>Location: Leominster, MA (Hybrid - In-Person & Virtual)</p> <p>Position Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Starting Date: August 25, 2025</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Adjustment Counselor to join our unique educational community. This role requires exceptional communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students in both virtual and in-person settings. The ideal candidate will thrive in a non-traditional school environment, working collaboratively to help students overcome personal and academic challenges.</p> <p>About Our Schools:</p> <ul> <li>Leominster Academy is a virtual school providing students with a flexible, online learning experience tailored to their individual needs. </li><li>Leominster Center for Excellence is an in-person innovation school that blends traditional classes, project-based learning, online coursework, and a robust internship program to create a dynamic, student-centered education. </li></ul> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>As an Adjustment Counselor, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students facing academic, personal, and social challenges. </li><li>Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that promote student success. </li><li>Support students in both virtual and in-person learning environments, adapting counseling approaches accordingly. </li><li>Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address students' emotional and behavioral needs. </li><li>Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed. </li><li>Help students develop self-advocacy, coping skills, and resilience in a supportive, student-centered setting. </li></ul> <p>Who We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>A team-oriented professional who values collaboration and is committed to student well-being. </li><li>A strong communicator who can effectively engage with students, families, and staff. </li><li>Someone who thrives in a non-traditional school environment and is flexible in their approach to counseling. </li><li>An advocate for students who understands the importance of social-emotional learning, mental health support, and trauma-informed care. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed as a School Adjustment Counselor in Massachusetts (or eligible for licensure). </li><li>Experience working with students in alternative, innovative, or non-traditional educational settings preferred. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in both virtual and in-person environments. </li></ul> <p>To Apply: Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience and interest in the role.</p> <p>Please submit cover letter, resume, transcripts and evidence of licensure.</p>
