This individual will act as a coach to other departments and lead the Training, Continuous Improvement, and Safety functions for the plant. This position will support all 3 shifts of skilled team members in the plant as well. This individual will play an integral role in building the plant production team, leading their onboarding, and instilling a culture of surfacing and solving problems.</p> <p>Planning and Start-Up Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide detailed input to project plans and schedules. </li><li>Partner with operations to develop team leader and group leader roles, providing them the tools, training, and coaching to be successful. </li><li>Create or find partners to help onboard all new employees on key manufacturing concepts such as waste identification, problem solving, continuous flow, standardized work, etc. </li><li>Establish a safety culture rooted in Human & Organization Performance principles </li><li>Lead the plant implementation of Training Within Industry as the approach to onboarding new team members. </li><li>Partner with Operations and HR in developing a world class onboarding process for new team members. </li><li>Help create a culture and provide the tools for problem solving at all levels of the organization, building a culture that surfaces and solves problems related to safety, quality, and efficiency - involving employees at all levels to own it and improve it. </li></ul> <p>Ongoing Production Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Using a people-first and process-disciplined approach, coach cross functional teams to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance with a cross-functional staff. </li><li>Champion a proactive safety culture - ensuring every team member feels responsible for identifying and addressing risks before they become issues. </li><li>Build a culture that surfaces and solves problems daily - driving continuous improvement in people, process, and product. </li><li>Foster two-way communication - ensuring team members are not only well-informed and engaged, but also empowered to share insights, influence decisions, and shape outcomes. </li><li>Promote a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams align around shared goals and celebrate collective wins. </li><li>Lead with integrity - modeling ethical decision-making and fostering a culture of trust and accountability. </li><li>Inspire a high-energy environment where positivity, resilience, and a growth mindset are contagious. </li><li>This position reports to the Site Leader and is a key member of the site leadership team. </li></ul> <p>We value our employees by providing:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation based on skills </li><li>Industry leading health, dental, and vision plans </li><li>Generous 401 (K) savings and profit sharing </li><li>Education assistance and internal training programs </li><li>Electric vehicle charging </li><li>Maternity & paternity leave </li><li>Interested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
