<p>Title: Cert Occupa Therapy Asst</p> <p>Department Org: Acute Occupational Therapy - 109250</p> <p>Employee Classification: B5 - Unclass Full Time AFSCME HSC</p> <p>Bargaining Unit: AFSCME HSC</p> <p>Primary Location: HSC H</p> <p>Shift: 1</p> <p>Start Time: 0730 End Time: 1600</p> <p>Posted Salary: $20.19 - 25.68</p> <p>Float: True</p> <p>Rotate: True</p> <p>On Call: False</p> <p>Travel: False</p> <p>Weekend/Holiday: True</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Under the supervision of an OTR/L facilitates individual and group interventions to rehabilitate persons with sensorimotor, cognitive and psychosocial impairments through meaningful occupations.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/experience/licensing:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Associate's Degree from an accredited college.</p> </li><li> <p>Must maintain current licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic hand splinting skills required.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains the Standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains/maintains CPR Certification from the American Heart Association prior to the completion of probationary period. American Red Cross CPR Certification is acceptable for hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Passes annual safety test.</p> </li><li> <p>Achieves competencies for assigned work area as dictated by director (i.e., age specific, suctioning, aseptic technique).</p> </li></ol> <p>Communication and other skills:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Good written and verbal communication skills to allow for functioning as a team member, assure adequate documentation for payors, and to ensure continuity of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Adheres to UTMC service values.</p> </li></ol> <p>Conditions of Employment:</p> <p>To promote the highest levels of health and well-being, the University of Toledo campuses are tobacco-free.
