Our approach is driven by an involved focus on Safety and efficiency, resulting in us being a leader in the heavy and highway construction industry.</p> <p>The Position:</p> <p>We're looking for a Structural Engineer with a construction engineering emphasis who will have the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assess, model, and analyze complex steel, concrete, and timber structures on heavy civil projects in all phases of access, demolition, and construction </li><li>Design falsework and formwork to relevant codes and standards </li><li>Engineer temporary and permanent earth retention systems </li><li>Develop critical lift and jacking plans required for safe operations </li><li>Prepare relevant, clear drawings for use by fabricators and field operations within fast-paced construction timeframes </li><li>In conjunction with Construction and Project Managers, solve engineering related project issues </li><li>Review and update engineering standards for field operations and design </li><li>Assist in responding to questions from contractors, public agencies and officials, or other stakeholders regarding policies, procedures, and practices </li><li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>The Benefits:</p> <p>Team members at the Walbec Group are offered competitive pay and benefits that align with our values while supporting good health and a balanced life now and into the future.
