<p>Rail Switching Technician</p> <p>Kansas City, MO</p> <p>Be the next key member of our Rail Switching Team as the PSC Group is now hiring! Spend your days along the rail tracks and work as a team with the engineer on the train to safely move railcars in, out and around the facility. This is a regular full-time position so if you are looking for a stable, long-term career in a booming industry, then consider joining the PSC Group family!</p> <p>Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (4:00pm - 12:30am)</p> <p>Pay Range: Starting at $23.00 per hour (could vary with experience)</p> <p>Job Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Examines track list to spot, separate, load and/or build railcars for shipment </li><li>Ensures railcars are properly connected and/or are secured by setting the brake </li><li>Separates loaded railcars that will be shipped from those that have been preloaded </li><li>Weighs all inbound and outbound loads and empties to ensure weights do not exceed </li><li>Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available </li><li>May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location </li><li>18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S. </li><li>Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check </li><li>Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Why join the PSC team?</p> <ul> <li>Since 1952, PSC Group has had a strong reputation for quality service, safety, environmental protection, and taking care of our employees. </li><li>We are a leader in product handling and site logistics for refineries, chemical producers, and marine transportation providers. </li><li>The work we do makes a huge impact in our nation's economy.
