<p>2025 - 2026 School Year</p> <p>Bridgeport Public Schools</p> <p>Human Resources Department</p> <p>45 Lyon Terrace, Room 324</p> <p>Bridgeport, CT 06604</p> <p>JOB OPENING</p> <p>CAFETERIA UTILITY ASSISTANT</p> <p>BOE NUTRITION CENTER</p> <p>SALARY: $16.35 PER HOUR/18.75 HOURS PER WK/42 WEEKS</p> <p>Part-time position</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Wash and sanitize all dishware, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment following safety and health protocols. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station and utility areas. </li><li>Empty garbage and recycling bins regularly; assist with proper waste disposal. </li><li>Support the food service team by transporting clean trays, dishes, and utensils to serving areas. </li><li>Help receive, unpack, and store kitchen supplies and deliveries as needed. </li><li>Refill handwashing and sanitation supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitizing solution). </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, spot mopping, and ensuring no slip hazards in utility and dishwashing areas. </li><li>Lift boxes, trays, and crates of dishes or supplies as required. </li><li>Comply with all local and state health regulations and district policies. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen lead or manager. </li></ul> <p>Additional duties as necessary. be advised that this list does not encompass all duties required and employee must be able to perform any.</p> <p>This job description is not, nor is it intended to be, a complete statement of all duties, functions, responsibilities, qualifications, physical, and cognitive, which comprise this position.
