<p>Description</p> <p>Registered Nurse Coordinator Employee Health position in New Milford, CT</p> <p>Full time, 40 hours per week, 7:15 AM-3:45 PM: Monday through Friday</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Provides clinical leadership and expertise in primary care. This position is accountable for assuring quality medical care for employees within the workplace and pre-employed individuals looking to join the organization. Coordinates pre-hire contingencies, employee wellness initiatives and injury.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Provides clinical leadership and expertise in primary care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses, monitors and implements supportive nursing care, health counseling and education to patients related to workplace injuries and employee illnesses occurring in the workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with all levels of management and Human Resources, as well as third party vendors.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts initial assessment of Workers' Compensation injuries and administers first aid when determines need for advanced medical referral.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts pre-employment screenings: scheduling, exam preparation, specimen collection, result follow-up, medical record notes and inter department communications.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts initial assessment of Workers' Compensation injuries and administers first aid when determines need for advanced medical referral.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers immunizations and PPDs as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes and record vital signs. Requests laboratory results.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists medical providers with procedures as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs return-to-work exams.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with department managers and/or Human Resources to related to documented employee restrictions and requests for accommodations.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains, stocks and orders medical supply inventory.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates across all levels of the organization, as well as Network sanctioned third party vendors.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates compassion while remaining objective.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains high degree of confidentiality and full compliance under HIPAA, Network policies and regulatory agency requirements.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education: ASSOCIATE'S LVL DGRE</p> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Required: Three years hands-on nursing experience. Excellent customer service skills, good phone skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrates compassion while remaining objective.</p> <p>Minimum Experience: three years</p> <p>Desired: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, prior Employee Health experience preferred.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity</p> <p>Occupational: Significant occupational risk</p> <p>Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort.
