<p>The Data Analyst is responsible for the management, configuration, support, and optimization of the institution's SIS platform. This role ensures data integrity, system reliability, and alignment with academic and administrative goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to implement enhancements and support business processes critical to student success using industry best practices.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Administer and maintain the SIS, including user access, system configuration, upgrades, and integrations. </li><li>Collaborate with academic and administrative departments (e.g., Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Advising) to ensure SIS supports institutional goals. </li><li>Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts for operational and strategic needs. </li><li>Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application or data issues. </li><li>Oversee data integrity, compliance with FERPA, and system security protocols. </li><li>Coordinate with vendors and third-party services for system maintenance, updates, and support. </li><li>Lead or participate in SIS-related projects, including implementations, process improvements, and training initiatives. </li><li>Document workflows, procedures, and training materials for SIS users. </li><li>Provide training and technical support to staff and faculty as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Higher Education Administration, or a related field. </li><li>Experience: 3-5 years of experience administering a Student Information System in a higher education environment. </li><li>Preferred Experience: Experience with specific SIS platforms like PowerCampus and Student First. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL), reporting tools (e.g., Argos, Crystal Reports, Power BI), and data management. </li><li>Familiarity with integration tools and APIs (e.g., REST, SOAP, ETL). </li><li>Knowledge of student lifecycle processes (admissions, registration, financial aid, academic records). </li><li>Experience with SSO, identity management, and SIS security best practices. </li><li>Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in collaboration with IT staff and vendors. </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. </li><li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement and user-centered support. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Health, dental, vision, and retirement plans </li><li>Tuition remission and tuition exchange programs </li></ul> <p>About Albright College</p> <p>Founded in 1856, Albright College is the oldest institution of higher learning in Berks County and one of the most economically and culturally diverse colleges in the country.
