<p>We are seeking an instructor of Beginner ESL (English as a Second Language). Program classes provides instruction to our Beginner ESL courses (Basics, Foundations and PREP).</p> <p>Example of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Provide classroom instruction to participants in our intensive Beginner ESL classes focused on reading, writing, and speaking, in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi. </li><li>Maintain scrupulous attendance. </li><li>Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems. </li><li>Assist Adult Education staff with student advisement, coaching and registration. </li><li>Meet all scheduled class sessions. </li><li>Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field required. </li><li>Some experience in teaching low-level ESL required. </li><li>Best Plus testing certification is plus. </li><li>Follow curriculum guidelines. </li><li>Expected to be available on the Main Campus in Paterson and at the Passaic Academic Center. </li><li>Ability to work during day, evening, and weekend hours, as program requires. </li></ul> <p>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</p> <p>Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications.
