<p>The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. The Division of Academic and Student Affairs is the place to work for values-driven faculty and staff who are passionate about promoting the success of the whole student.</p> <p>TRIO Programs were established to support the nation's commitment to provide educational opportunity for all Americans to enter college, graduated and move on to participate more fully in realizing the "American Economic and Social Dream"</p> <p>The Upward Bound Program is seeking the following Summer Instructors:</p> <ul> <li>One (1) Science Instructor to instruct in laboratory science courses including, but not limited to, Physical Science, Chemistry, etc. </li><li>One (1) French Instructor </li><li>One (1) Mandarin Instructor </li><li>One (1) American Sign Language (ASL) instructor </li><li>One (1) Financial Literacy Instructor </li><li>One (1) Technology Instructor to instruct students in STEM-related classes, which can include robotics, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, etc. (Instructor can present course topics) </li><li>One (1) Political Science Instructor to instruct students in high school level civic knowledge and engagement. </li></ul> <p>NOTE: Please indicate which positions you are apply for within your cover letter.</p> <p>Instructors will:</p> <ul> <li>Instruct high school students in conjunction with state standards </li><li>Prepare lesson plans for each class session </li><li>Submit time sheets, class rolls, student evaluations and lesson plan format at the end of the Academic session </li><li>Report to and collaborate with the Academic Coordinator and Assistant Director </li><li>Maintain a safe environment for all students </li><li>Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits including meeting required deadlines, attending staff meetings as scheduled, and implementing instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. </li><li>Other duties as assigned that aid in the overall service delivery model for the Upward Bound Program </li><li>This position will require in person interactions with 45 - 55 high school students on NC State's campus </li></ul> <p>Required Training: TBD</p> <p>Program Sessions: 6/15/2026 - 7/16/2026</p> <p>Must serve as a positive role model for students and have proven ability in establishing rapport with students and staff while encouraging the importance of cooperation and a positive attitude.</p> <p>Is Time Limited Yes If Yes, Appointment Length 5 weeks 6/15/2026 - 7/16/2026 Wolfpack Perks and Benefits</p> <p>As a Pack member, you belong here, and can enjoy exclusive perks designed to enhance your personal and professional well-being.
