<p>A special educator in ASRSD will co-teach with a grade level/subject educator to meet the needs of the students on their case load co-facilitating engaging lessons that develop student understanding in a supportive classroom environment that fosters student belonging.</p> <ul> <li>Co-teach in an inclusion classroom with a subject area or grade level colleague to support the needs of students on their caseload </li><li>Design, supervise, implement, maintain, and evaluate a student's IEP </li><li>Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lessons, make accommodations and modifications to the general curriculum as needed. </li><li>Participate in the team meeting process and eligibility process (e.g., evaluating students for eligibility, conducting academic testing, conducting diagnostic testing, reporting at team meetings, attending team meetings, etc.) </li><li>Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior. </li><li>Collaborate with peers and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices. </li><li>Complete other duties as assigned by the building administration </li></ul> <p>MA DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities, Prek-8, or Severe Disabilities, all levels required Masters Degree or Bachelor's Degree as necessary Training and experience with specialized reading programs (OG, Wilson, SPIRE, etc) preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to meet timelines and deadlines Specific experiences as necessary (e.g., Technology proficiency preferred)</p>
