<p>PARAMEDIC FIREFIGHTER</p> <p>BARTLETT FIRE DEPARTMENT</p> <p>PARAMEDIC FIREFIGHTER</p> <p>Excellent benefits such as health and life insurance, social security & retirement plan</p> <p>The City of Bartlett is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Paramedic Firefighter.</p> <p>The Paramedic Firefighter is responsible for performing tasks as directed by the commanding officer. These tasks include but are not limited to; delivery of advanced medical care as required by the Emergency Medical Services Division, firefighting and salvage operations, rescue calls, public service calls and other emergency services that protect life, property and the environment. Some other duties may include, but not limited to; routine duties, regular training exercises, delivery of public education, safety and disaster preparedness programs. Shall additionally perform other duties as directed and may be required.</p> <p>Minimum requirements to apply include: Must have and maintain a current State of Tennessee EMT-P licensure in good standing with no restrictions (Reciprocity for applicants without Tennessee licensure will be considered). Must successfully be certified by the Tennessee Firefighting Personal Standards and Education Commission as a Firefighter II within five (5) years of employment. Must be at least 18 years of age and have held a current unrestricted Driver's License for a minimum of 1 year. Must maintain a current Driver's License and the Driver's license must be a minimum Class D. Must be able to work 24-hour shifts. Must pass a written test, physical ability test and an oral interview process. Must pass a background and driver's license check, psychological exam, and a physical exam, including a drug test. Bartlett resident preferred but not required.
