<p>Location: Hybrid Rockford, IL</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am- 4pm</p> <p>Salary: $15.12-$18.91, depending on experience</p> <p>What work will you perform?</p> <p>In this position, you will be responsible for managing cash receipts related to freight receivables, ensuring accounts are balanced, and conducting research on unapplied cash receipts. Your prior experience in an office environment, especially with financial tasks such as balancing accounts, will be essential for success in this role. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills will be key to effectively handling these responsibilities.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Process electronic and manual payments </li><li>Post complex payments and adjustments to customer accounts from bank lockboxes and online reports </li><li>Adjust and post corrections to payments </li><li>Resolve unapplied cash, over payments and duplicate payments, for proper application or refund </li><li>Maintain excel spreadsheets </li><li>Write off appropriate credits to correspond with refunds </li><li>Ensure timely and accurate posting in a high volume environment </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Experience and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required </li><li>One year office administration experience required </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>6 months experience with financial responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Strength with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel </li><li>Professional demeanor; effectively collaborate with peers for resolution </li><li>Strong attention to detail; ability to catch and resolve discrepancies </li><li>Capacity to investigate and research discrepancies </li><li>Strong math skills with emphasis in financials; understanding of debits/credits </li><li>Ability to work independently </li></ul>
