Your future begins here!</p> <p>A staff accountant position within corporate accounting to perform the following job functions:</p> <ul> <li>Perform daily and monthly GL reconciliations </li><li>Assist with completion of monthly and quarterly variance analysis </li><li>Maintains and analyzes assets and liabilities to ensure proper recognition of income and expenses in appropriate accounting periods </li><li>Ensures general ledger integrity is maintained through timely reconcilements and proper classification to accounts and responsibility centers </li><li>Assists in the development of automated accounting systems and process improvements </li><li>Prepare accurate general ledger entries that are accompanied by supporting documentation for bank, holding company and various subsidiaries </li><li>Prepare accurate monthly reports and corresponding journal entries for month end </li><li>Assists with mergers and acquisitions </li><li>Assists with maintaining a SOX control environment </li></ul> <p>Must be an effective communicator, be able to work independently and with a team, and be a self-starter.</p>
